Your team captain Andrew 'Reidy' Reid is ready to go!
He saves lives for a living as one of our favourite Lifegaurds on Bondi Rescue. Reidy will be there every step of the way this Australia Swims to inspire, encourage and motivate his team. Reidy's very own Sydney Harbour Splash event will take place during Australia Swims on the 26th of January, giving participants the chance to swim along-side some of Australia's most iconic landmarks.
There's no time like the present, join Reidy for a 10-day celebration of all things swimming. Be sure to check his Facebook and Instagram for regular updates, tips and words of wisdom from the man himself.
This year Team Reidy is getting behind a great cause in OneWave, a surf centric organisation that focuses on mental health, letting people know they are not alone and encouraging them to get in the ocean, surf it out and talk about it. It doesn't matter whether you're riding a wave for the first time or the hundredth time you never forget the feeling of being on a wave, letting everything go with a massive smile on your face. OneWave is all it takes to free the funk. To give you hope.
OneWave holds weekly Fluro Friday sunrise sessions at beaches around the world to raise awareness for mental health. Dressing up in the brightest outfits possible whilst doing various beach activities, surfing, swimming, yoga and more to come! Fluro makes people smile and it gets people asking important questions, which are normally avoided about mental health. Everyone is welcome to participate in these free events. For more information and find out how you can help get more people facing mental health challenges in the ocean, head over to OneWave now.
